Motorsports are second only to football in Uganda. In a bid to get more racers behind the wheel, one enthusiast has constructed an off-road race car, with the aim of introducing low-cost rallying in the East African country. CCTV's Leon Ssenyange went along for the ride.

The Kayoola Bus, manufactured by Kiira Motors in Uganda, is unique and in a class of its own because it is the first ever solar-powered means of public transportation in Uganda. An electric motor fuelled by Lithium-ion batteries powers the 35-seater bus and has a range of up to 80 kilometers on a single charge.

Interpol and officials of the Uganda Revenue Authority have handed over 24 vehicles to the National united agency of the United kingdom and the British high commissioner in Uganda Alison Blackburne. URA officials told NTV that the vehicles were intercepted and impounded last year in July from different car bonds in Kampala. They said there is a huge racket involving Ugandans who connive with people in the UK to smuggle these cars in, in containers. The handover was at URA headquarters at Nakawa, Kampala.
